Today was my second day as a stay-at-home mom (again) and uh...it is hard. Piper is officially into ev.ery.thing. She is like a miniature drunk; wandering around the house, knocking into things, tipping things over, occasionally falling over her own feet while bellowing out her disdain or approval of things. When she gets hungry I plop her in the highchair and start throwing food on her tray. Without thinking twice she filters through what I've given her - tossing what doesn't suit her fancy overboard for Sammie to eat or horfing down what looks good and giving me a little "dink dink dink" of her fingers signing for me to give her more. When she is done she dramatically waves her hands all about signing "all done" and down she goes to the floor where she starts it all up again - knocking things over, falling down, getting up, sitting on Sammie, hollaring out her baby babble in long and winding sentences. While I clean up the kitchen and get ready to start it all over again.
It's exhausting and I've gotten nothing done the last two days, but oh wow is it wonderful. My little pipsqueak.
