first real boo-boo

Piper had her first real face plant this weekend. We were letting her run around at the Yacht Haven Grande along the waterfront and she took off running and tripped on a brick paver and landed face first into the sidewalk. She came up screaming with a bloody mouth and then did the silent, purple face, no breathing scream. We both freaked and ran her to a bathroom and cleaned up her little face and tried wiping the blood up (and off of Patrick's shirt). She calmed down like immediately and this was her about 5 minutes after she fell. She had a huge fat, bloody lip and scratches on her chin and under her nose.
And this was her approximately 6 minutes after the face plant. Totally fine and running around happy. Patrick and I were on our way to the bar for a beer because we were so emotionally drained from seeing her all torn up.
