Nothing has ever been "normal" with Piper's teeth so far. She didn't get her first tooth till the DAY she turned 1, where most kids have at least 2-3 by their first birthday. And up until a few days ago she still only had 2 teeth, which for a 15 month old is not a whole lot of teeth. AND to make her even more unique - one tooth was on top, and one was on bottom. Usually the top teeth and bottom teeth come in together as a pair. Those two little teeth have been so cute. They look exactly like a little piece of chicklet gum sticking out from under her lips. A few St. Thomian (yes, that's what they are called. i think it sounds awkward too) have commented on her "lucky tooth." I thought that was a cute term.So Pip has been a bit fussy lately and has been shoving her little fingers in her mouth all the time. I looked in her little mouth the other day and saw, not one...not two, but THREE teeth currently coming in. Her second top, front tooth (so now her front tooth will have buddy) and ... her first molars on both sides. Huh? I looked online and those aren't supposed to show up for a few more months. So she decided to skip the canines and incisors for now and just focus on the big guns.
What a unique little girl she is. I just hope that fact that her baby teeth look like little chicklet's isn't an indication that she is going to have my freakishly small teeth.
