Tomorrow (Tuesday) is my first day back in school after a glorious 3 week vacation from classes. I should have emerged from my relaxing cocoon refreshed and energized and ready to take on whatever academic challenges await me. Instead I am bitter that I have to drive 25 minutes to get to class this semester, MAD that I will be making that drive at 8am, annoyed that I have to take another chemistry and all together burned out with having to sit through another class that is not a nursing class.
I'm taking CHM 2045, or Chemistry & Qualitative Analysis. I do not need this class as a pre-req for the nursing program (I'm officially DONE with all my nursing pre-req's), but this class is needed as a pre-req for the masters in nursing program at University of North Florida. I figured that it would suck big time for me to be done with 16 months of nursing school, and be working as a nurse and try and get the motivation to go back to school to take ONE chemistry course (after having forgotten all the chemistry I've learned so far) that I would most likely have to take as a night class since I'll be working all day. So tomorrow I'm heading off to this craptastic class.
I really do not like chemistry. I'm a visual learner and it's really hard for me to try and understand chemistry fundamentals since you can't see or touch an electron/proton/neutron and instead just have to trust that what you are being told is fact. I've done really well in my chemistry class, and was asked to tutor Chemistry 1 (toot toot!!), but I just find the whole system so confusing and hard to believe.
